The Grant Burge 5th Gen Merlot is a medium-bodied red wine hailing from the Barossa Valley region in Australia. This wine is complex, fruity, and impressive in its length and structure.
Made from the Merlot grape varietal, it displays classic perfumed aromas of dark plum and cherries, complemented by soft, silky tannins with sweet spices and fruit. On the palate, the wine is delicately layered with red berry and plum flavors, balanced by the ripe tannins and the addition of oak and fruit sweetness. This wine has a deep ruby red color and lifted aromas of vibrant red berry fruit and rich cassis, with hints of vanilla and spice. It is full and ripe on the palate with a rich blackberry and plum fruit core, a soft mid-palate with subtle savory spice and delicate integrated tannins, and a long, lingering finish.
